Lisa’s mother and Jessica’s Grandmother Norrell was making the difficult move to downsize from her family home of over 40 years to retirement living and later to aged care. At the time Lisa was working full time and a busy mother with Jessica still completing high school and were therefore very time poor. Just the thought of were to start to get Norell’s house ready for sale, and then the move to her new home was stressful. On top of being time poor, Lisa’s sisters lived in country Victoria and our family here in Melbourne were burdened with this exhausting task.

Home Moving Planners was originally created around this idea, however when moving from our three storey family home of 15 years to a much smaller townhouse, the stress of this experience prompted us to look at providing a service for all families of all different dynamics.
Moving house with a family of people who are time poor was exceptionally exhausting, overwhelming and a very emotional experience for our family.
We had to sort through years worth of our treasured possessions, prepare our house to sell, pack everything up, say goodbye to our family home and set up our new house. I wish we had, had a service like this to help us with this stressful time. Particularly as all members of my family were working and were very time poor! This put added stress and strain on our move! This is why we have created Home Moving Planners, so that other families do not have to continue to go through this stressful experience!”
